An odd conflict in that characters and situations are realistic and vivid, but the story line unfolds in an unnecessarily incoherent manner . . . in such way as masochistic viewers will enjoy and find stylish. I debated turning it off…

An exquisitely intelligent legal thriller, the 2007 feature is not cerebral. It just treats its characters like real grownups, even when they’re interacting with children. Told in flashback after an opening stunt gets the suspense going,…

Very good movie, some twist and turns that at first one may not be sure where the movie was going but the story comes together with a fine ending. Be patient and let the story of the fixer unfold you wont be sorry. I read the reviews and…
I'm glad to hear the movie got better (via other comments), I watched the first hour and a bit, it was just more Clooney self aggrandizement playing the only character he's capable of, saying look at me ?. You could'nt follow this story if…

another film about corparate corruption, with superb production values, but which loses impact for not being based on a true story, which are plentiful, and always more compelling and fascinating than anything a storyteller could cook up

Rated 6/10. The first half of the movie, in my opinion, is below par and seemed disjointed. In the second half, the storyline picked up and became more interesting.
The acting was average though.

Power packed. Love George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton. Love catching bad people doing bad things. Exciting, tense corporate thriller. Couldn’t tell if George Clooney ever got to sleep or change his clothes.
If you are listening to the news in early 2018, you've been hearing about a lawyer who is a 'fixer' for the current president. What is a fixer, you ask? Watch this legal thriller and find out! George Clooney is riveting in his portrayal…

Fantastic script, taut and succinct. Fantastic acting by all the principle, secondary and extras.
George Clooney was born for this role. This is the role that will change your mind about George C. being a one note actor.
Tilda Swinton…

Rating the movie 4/5 stars, I suggest this version since the special commentary feature by writer/director Tony Gilroy and editor John Gilroy provides important insights into the story besides their views of constructing and telling a…

Not that you should judge a movie by its title, but this is possibly the blandest title of 2007. Don't people get paid to come up with better titles? They might as well called it "Lawyer Guy vs. Big Corporation" or something. That aside,…

Michael Clayton is a janitor of sorts. He’s a company lawyer who specializes in clearing the names of guilty clients as long as they have the cash to pay for it. It’s not that he’s an evil man, but his personal values are often forced to…

A good "corporate thriller". There is a logical flaw that I find hard to accept (that a man could be presumed dead by his wristwatch, with no human remains) but if you ignore that, it's a compelling film. The actual murder scene is…
