Not quite as mindblowingly incredible as Book 1, this is still an excellent book with tons of plot and character development, action, and intrigue. (And the audiobook narration is still absolutely top-notch.)

PG-13 for…

"Words of Radiance", the second book in Brandon Sanderson’s "Stormlight Archive", is an entertaining high fantasy with lovable, growing characters and a world of increasing complexity.
The character growth throughout this book was a…

Sanderson's epic series pacing is *slightly* better than Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. (Although this is only book two, so he still has time to slow it down.)
At least (compared to Jordan) Sanderson knows how to write diverse women…

Wow.
Words of Radiance is incredible. After the slow, intense worldbuilding of Way of Kings, Sanderson flees his prowess in this riveting sequel, dialing everything up to 11. The action is better, the pacing is better, the character…

This book is gargantuan even by my standards!!!! But it’s so good. I know I say that a lot, but it’s true. While the previous book, The Way of Kings, shows Kaladin’s past, Words of Radiance shows Shallon’s. I love all the characters and…

This series is so amazing. The books always blow my mind and leave me wondering how on earth anyone can create a world as intricate as this one in their mind. Literally at the end of this book I had to stare at the wall and process for a…

Warning: in both this book and its predecessor, Sanderson has shown a surprising ability to keep me reading when I should be studying, sleeping, or getting ready for work. You could be next.

I got spoiled on a major plot point like two chapters in and never fully recovered from it. I didn't vibe with this book as much I did the predecessor. I was glad that there wasn't as much Dalinar because honestly he was super boring in…

Book 2 of the great Stormlight Archives series, this title is where the plot truly begins to blossom and the characters that we are introduced to in the first novel are allowed to shine. A massive, epic fantasy world that is driven by it's…

For as long of a book as Words of Radiance is, it was difficult to put it down. If you had the patience to get through the 1000+ pages of The Way of Kings, you don't need me to tell you its sequel is just as good if not better. Whereas Way…

It took me forever to read this because I was scared to pick it up ... it's such a commitment and I always knew that if I sat down with it, I'd hardly get up (which is hard with 2 little kids). It was not because I didn't like it. I loved…

This is an excellent sequel to “The Way of Kings,” and in many ways better. Characters are fleshed out more, and we are given a fascinating look at how the sprens, Pattern and Syl, evolve as they interact increasingly with their bonded…

Storms, this is a long one
I continue to like Sanderson's unique supernatural mechanics he employs in his writings. The shard pieces, the radiants, storms, and spren. All super cool. The characters were strong. There weren't an…

Very very addicting...it was an emotional roller coaster DXDX. The characters are so beautiful and the plot is so intricately woven (read the first book first to prevent spoilers). Sometimes, I think I hate Sanderson's characters but then…

An excellent read, however I was a little annoyed from time to time by the author's habit of dropping apparently disconnected tidbits into the plot with a very long period elapsing before the dots were connected. Other than that I wait…

Epic Fantasy at its best. One of the best, if not the best fantasy book I've ever read, and I have to say I read a lot of fantasy. The author's attention to detail is extraordinary. The plot is complex but the author weaves it together…

this just blew me away.
(almost literally, with Kaladin being master of the winds or whatever plus all the storms.)
