Not a bad book, but a little confusing, and a little dry in some parts.

I absolutely ADORED this book, and the end, I didn't even see coming!

Blake finds an old book in a library at Oxford University. The book has a long and magical history and is sought by others who want to know its secrets. I found that the plot lines didn't tie together as well as they might have, but still, a good read for kids who enjoy fantasy.

Lots of plot holes and jumps in this book. Suitable for the young audience in which it was intended.

Moving from the past to present and back again, this adventure starts in Gutenberg''s printing shop with a young mute printing devil that comes across some magical paper that can transform itself. As he shares his thoughts in the leather covered journal, he hides it so that an evil man named Fust cannot find it and destroy it. Centuries later, a young boy named Blake is wandering through a library in Oxford, and as he runs his fingers along the shelf, an old book bites his finger. When Blake opens the book, he finds that it is blank to everyone else, and the secrets it reveals may bring him closer to evil than he could have imagined.
