Every David Levithan book is different, and this one is no exception. Duncan is an American high-schooler sometime in the future. He works for the campaign of Abraham Stein, the first gay, Jewish President-Elect. The book was published in 2006, and at times it feels very dated for that reason. So many things in the novel are obviously directed at the George W. Bush presidency. However, other parts of the book are oddly prescient. The book seems to predict the Obama campaign based on how the Stein campaign is described. This is a very political book, and it’s an excellent book to read during an election year.

A very disappointing read. If you've read Boy Meets Boy by David Lavithan and liked it, then you'll probably not enjoy this. I waited for something to happen through the whole book and it just ended up being slow and not exciting whatsoever.
